SHFC joins DHSUD in celebrating 6th anniversary

Social Housing Finance Corporation joined in the celebration on the 6th Anniversary of the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development on Valentine’s day at the DHSUD Auditorium, Quezon City.
Representing SHFC President and CEO Federico Laxa were Vice President for Mega Manila Group, Engr. Elsa Juliana Calimlim, and Vice President for Corporate Planning and Communications Group, Florencio Carandang Jr.
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, the guest of honor and speaker who delivered the keynote address, recognizing DHSUD’s role in making homeownership more accessible. DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar also took the stage to reflect on the department’s progress and deliver his message celebrating the milestone.
Additionally, DHSUD Undersecretary Randy Escolango read the official message of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., which emphasized the administration’s vision of making housing a fundamental right rather than a privilege. The President underscored that love, much like housing, is not proven by promises alone but by lasting commitment.
“A nation’s success is not measured by its tallest towers, but by how many of its people can finally say, ‘Welcome home,’” President Marcos stated, reinforcing his administration’s push for inclusive housing through programs like the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) and the Pasig River Urban Development (PRUD).
SHFC is one with the DHSUD in ensuring inclusive and sustainable housing solutions for all through the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program.
